It can be all about me.. once in a while..

I think I want this as my tattoo.. well along those lines. 3 butterflies on my shoulder. I think it would pretty and not trashy.. Don’t worry, I’ve thought it through… and I’m a girl. I can get butterflies if I want. =oP

 

I was trying to find the picture of me in 8th grade {see below} and I found all these great pictures.. i cant help but laugh when I look at them. I think I’m going to put them on my side bar.. or at least the one about the hair.. :)

  

In 8th grade, I loved this outfit. I probably wore it once a week all throughout middle school. That tank top says “boy beater” I shit you not. That’s right, that’s my midriff showing. I was such a bad ass. Should we dissect this picture for a second? Do you SEE the poster on my walls. They covered all 4 of my walls. I loved it that way. That year, I had a crush on Sam Alexander. He played trumpet and didn’t even give me a chance. What a dummy. I took the picture on the right a couple days ago and couldn’t help but notice the same face, and pose. I’m so sassy. But I think I definitely upgraded over the years. AND I finally have hips! Size 00 got nothing on me!

I bought this great jacket too! I looove it! I really wanted a motorcycle-type jacket. But I don’t do leather. I found this one and I LOVE it! I plan to get some cute leopard print flats to wear too.. {ps. I don’t know WHAT that face is.. I didn’t feel comfy using the timer and taking a picture of my coat.}

Speaking of fashion. Look at this sweet diva! My heart is melting.

 

Everyone should look cute while cooking. I’m showcasing my Ives meatless ground. Look at my butt! After 20 years of never having a butt.. I embrace that booty!

Today, at 1:30, I will be in contacts!! I’ve worn glasses since I was 6. That’s a long freakin’ time! I finally took the plunge. I’m getting contacts. I’ll still wear my glasses around the house. And when I’m being lazy.. but for the most time, I will no longer be “Ashlee, the one with the glasses?” Now i’ll just “Ashlee, the one with the gap?” I wouldn’t have it any other way.

      

This is my excited face!! You like how my veins pop out of my neck!? I made this face as Mike opened his birthday present early. 1 month early to be exact. See, the reason is that electronics only have 15 day return period. So, If he didn’t like it {yeah, right} then he could take it back. And Mike and I have a really bad habit of giving gifts early. It literally burns a hole in our closet, if it sits there longer than 3 days. seriously. I can almost guarantee that I’ll get my bday present in October :)  {Think.. NikonD60..EEEEK}

I think he loves it. Don’t you? He has wanted an IPod as long as I have known him. I was so excited to be able to give it to him.. Now if he finds it in my purse.. that’s a whole different story. A girls got to run with music right??

I just realized my face is on this post WAAAAAY to many time. I’m sorry. Please don’t think I’m like that.

I have a crush.

Actually, I think I'll take that back. I have a serious want to make out with this boy, sloppy, high school style, crush.

 

I could do without the super skinny jeans he wears. But, that would just take one shopping trip. If I can get hubby out of 2sizestoobig Tommy Hilfigers, I can get Zac out of skinny jeans.

Yup, I think I love him.

  Gerard Butler.. he makes me swoon. He’s one of those men that would pick you up and put you against the wall and.. oh wait PG. sorry.

 

I don’t care, I’ll admit, I love me some Brad Pitt. We went and saw Inglorious Bastards {great movie! not for the weak stomach} and I fell in love with him again. Like I did in Mr. & Mrs. Smith. And at the end of Benjamin Button when he is a teenager.. yummmy. Where were the boys that looked like that when I went to high school? That’s right, I was in love with Jeff Grebbs, Daniel Castellanos, and Tony Nguyen. So far from Brad Pitt..

 

Bruce Willis. I call him Brucey, we are close like that. Die hard always makes me fall in love over again.

And Sin City. Hello, Gorgeous.

Oh John. {Or Jim, for us, office junkies} I love that little smirk. That hair. We would stay up late eating ice cream, laughing and telling each other our secrets. We might make out too.

 

Mostly, I have a huge crush on this man. He makes me laugh. We stay up late eating ice cream and chocolate pie. He likes to kiss me and he makes me swoon. I catch myself still checking him out, and wanting him on the spot. I love falling in love with him all over again.. {PS. Check out his goatee.. it it SOO sexy. I wish work would let him have facial hair, he looks like a stud}

By the sea, just you and me.

When Mike and I first became a couple, we would lay in bed, tangled up together and we would just talk. We would talk all day like that, if we could. We would get up, make each other our specialties for dinner {spaghetti for me, lemon chicken for him} and then we would go back to bed together and listen to music.  Those were the best days.

Life happened so fast, laying in bed all day was no longer an option. It was a privilege. Sometimes, when Olivia is napping, you’ll catch Mike and I laying in bed. Wrapped up in each other, talking about our morning.

We got a chance to really reconnect this weekend. Aunt Susan excitingly took Olivia and we escaped. Where else would we go, but the ocean.

It takes us 6 hours to get there plus a couple more when Google maps sends you east instead of west…

 

 

The first time we went down the beach, it was super windy and COLD! I had to put my hood on because I was getting an ear ache. I really like what the wind does with my hair here. I think that slicked back look is in, right?

We ate yummy food at the Lumberyard. It was delicious!!

My baby knows how to take care of me! Look at that blazing fire! The next night our neighbors asked him to help them with his. It was funny! Mike really isn’t a people person, but he showed him his tricks and got his fire going again :)

 

Of course! We went the arcade. It wasn’t nearly as cool as the one in Long Beach, but we definitely killed some Dino and spent the rest of our money on skeeball! 10 bucks gets you quite a few games! I totally whopped Mike too :)

 

“I <3 ME SOME ASH”

I got a cupcake from Frills Cupcake {duh} and Mike got ice cream!

On friday, we went and say Inglorious Bastards {hello, sexy brad pitt} and came out of the movie and it was sunny and warm! We sped home, and got into shorts and walked down to haystack for low-tide.

We took Highway 12 home, and on the way there are 3 lookout points to Mt. Rainer. Isn’t it breathtaking? Since the movies Dante’s Peak and Volcano, I have had nightmares about Mt. Rainer erupting. So this is about as close to the mountain as I will ever be.

PS. In case you were wondering, if she ever does erupt, they predict that the mudslide will crash down Nisqually Valley {E} or the Dalles {W} So i’m safe, except for some ash. Sorry Megs! :)

We put 600 miles on my car, round trip. I was so sick of the car at Longview. {Dont worry my ABS light is always on, it’s like a nightlight ;) }

It was really a wonderful trip! I cant wait to go again next year, we plan on bringing Olivia, I think she will have a blast playing in the sand!
